IGRSUP Stamp & Registration Department is the official portal of Uttar Pradesh (www.igrsup.gov.in/) which has been established by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. With the help of this portal, now the process of marriage registration for property and newly married couples have become much easier. The registration of marriage for newly married couples has been made mandatory under the Hindu Marriage Act 1995 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
UP Marriage Registration
In earlier times, married couples had to visit government offices to obtain a marriage certificate (marriage certificate) which resulted in the loss of both time and money. In view of this problem, the process of marriage registration has been completed online by the Stamp and Registration Department of the state.
The list of registration manuals under the Registration Act in Uttar Pradesh is Mirzapur, Allahabad, Kanpur, Meerut, Varanasi, Gautam Budh Nagar, Lucknow, Bareilly, Moradabad, Sitapur, Saharanpur, Aligarh, Agra, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Faizapur, Devipatan Model, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, Basti, etc.
Now any citizen of the state, irrespective of their caste, religion, or sect, can easily register property and marriage sitting in online mode. In addition, this portal mainly provides five types of facilities:

• It is essential for the applicant to be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
• Aadhaar card, voter ID card, or driving license to attest the identity
• Telephone or electricity bill as a residence certificate
• Passport size photo

• It is obligatory to fill the online marriage registration form in both Hindi and English languages.
• Indian citizenship is mandatory.
• While signing up on the official website, keep the password between 08 to 12 digits
• To fill the application form, your new photograph should be in JPG format of size less than 40 KB.
• Upload the same document as the residence certificate in which your residence certificate is mentioned.

• Click on the “Apply” option in the marriage registration section.
• After this, you will be asked for your permission to use the Aadhaar card in the marriage registration based on the Aadhaar-based details UIDAI. You have to click “Yes” here.
• In the next step, you will be asked to log in on the website. You can log in to the official website through the information of name, district, tehsil, and mobile number.
• click on “Application Aadhaar-based” and those who do not have an Aadhaar card, click on the “Application Office Based” link.
• Upload all your related information and all documents on the opened page.
• After self-observation of the information entered in your application, you click on “Save”. In this way, the UP marriage registration process will be completed.
Property registration
After the introduction of this online portal, no resident of the state will have to visit the departmental offices for registration of land or property. Eligibility criteria and necessary documents for property registration are mentioned below:
• Applicant should be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.

• After checking all the information, you have entered in the application form, you click on “Save”. You will receive the application number when your application form is successfully secured.
