The government of Tamil Nadu has started the digitalization of ration cards. For this, the process of online form filling has been started. TNPDS Smart Ration Cardholders will get free ration from the PDS shops. There are 4 types of digital TNPDS Smart Ration Card:
• Light green TNPDS Smart Ration Card: Issued for rice & other commodities from FPS (Fair Price Shops).
• White TNPDS Smart Ration Card: Issued for further 3kg sugar over the prescribed quota.
• No commodity TNPDS Smart Ration Card: issued to them who are not eligible to magnet any commodity as of ration shops.
• Khaki TNPDS Smart Ration Card: Issued to police personnel up to the rank of inspectors.

• Click on the option ‘smart card application”.
• Register yourself by entering the required data and also, fill the application form by attaching all the required data.
• Enter Add family member details, then enter gas connection details and confirm by marking the declaration section.
• Submit the form.
• You will receive a reference number. Keep it safe for future use.
• Note: you can also fill this form by using the card’s mobile app.

• Go to the nearest ration shop and collect the application form (also download from the official website).
• Fill it and attach all the required documents with it
• Submit it to the concerned department.
• You will receive a reference number. Keep it safe for future use.

• Click on the option ‘Application status”.
• Enter all the required details and submit them.
• The required information will be displayed on your screen.

• The status will appear on your screen; take a print of it.

• See the section of the right-hand side from the website’s home page; choose: Add member, change of address, family head member change, remove a family member.
• Enter all the required details and submit them.
• Now, enter the correct details on the opened page. Don’t forget to upload supportive documents of the information.
• Now, submit the form after reviewing it.

• Go to the official website
• Click on the option “apply for duplicate electronic family card”.
• Enter all the required details and submit the form along with the required document.
• Your application form for a duplicate electronic family card will be submitted.
