Under UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana, financial support is provided by the state government from the time of the birth of the daughter to her marriage. Kanya Sumangala Yojana was launched, the official portal and online facility, on 23 August 2019 by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana has been started for the daughters of Uttar Pradesh. The main objective of this scheme is to make daughters self-dependent. The total budget for this scheme is 1200 crores. Under the Kanya Sumangala scheme, the Uttar Pradesh government will open a bank account on the name of all girls born in the state.
To take advantage of the scheme, UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana, separate beneficiaries have been created for the girls
Category 1 – For newborn girls
• Newborn girls born on or after 01/04/2019 will be benefited with a sum of Rs 2000.
• Under this, it is mandatory to apply within 6 months of the girl’s date of birth.
• Applicant has to upload the girl’s birth certificate
• Certificate of Institutional Delivery Registration is to be uploaded.
• Affidavitwill have to be uploaded.
Category 2 – For girls completing vaccination
• Those girls who have been completely vaccinated within one year and not born before 01/04/2018, will be benefited with a sum of Rs 1000.
• Must upload the vaccination card.
• Affidavit will have to be uploaded.
Category 3 –Girls took admission in class 1
• Girls who have taken admission in the first class during the current academic session will be benefited with a sum of Rs 2000.
• Certificate for admission in the girl’s class 1 U-DISE code of school or school code.
• Affidavit will have to be uploaded.
Category 4 – Girls took admission in class 6
• Girls who have taken admission in the sixth class during the current academic session will be benefited with a sum of Rs 2000.
• Certificate for admission in the girl’s class 6 U-DISE code of school or school code.
• Affidavit will have to be uploaded.
Category 5 – Girls took admission in class 9
• Girls who have taken admission in the ninth class during the current academic session will be benefited from a sum of Rs 3000.
• Certificate for admission in the girl’s class 9 U-DISE code of school or school code.
• Affidavit will have to be uploaded.
Category 6 – Girls took admission in class 10/12
• All girls who have passed 10th / 12th class and have taken admission in Bachelor’s degree or at least a two-year diploma during the current academic session will be benefited with a sum of Rs 5000.
• 12th class certificate
• Photocopy of the admission fee and the identity card of the institute
• Affidavit will have to be uploaded.
Required documents for UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana
• The applicant should also have a certificate of birth.
• It will also be mandatory to give the school certificate for the Up Kanya Sumangala Yojana.
• Ration card (where girl’s name is entered)
• Aadhar card is mandatory to apply.
• Self-verification regarding the annual income of the family. (Self-Certified Income Certificate)
• Latest photo of the girl. (Child’s Photo)
• Bank passbook
Process to apply for UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana
• Go to the official website of UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana.
• Click on the option ‘Quick Links’ and go to the option ‘Apply Here’ from the Citizen Services Portal section.
• Now a new page will open in which the applicant will have to register. Scroll down and click on the “I agree” option and click on the “Continue” button.
• Now on the new page, the applicant will have to provide some information, and finally, the verification will have to be done through OTP.
• After this, the applicant will be registered. Now, he will receive a user ID. The password will remain the same.
• You must log in by entering username and password.
• After this enter all the information correctly in the opened form and also, upload all the documents required. Finally submit the form and note down the application number.
• By doing this, your online application for “UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana” will be completed.
